SmartPICO laser in Durango
Ultra-short pulses for deep pigment and tattoo removal, in fewer sessions and with less damage to the skin around them.

What sets it apart
A picosecond laser delivers its energy in extremely short pulses. The pigment is shattered by mechanical impact, and far less heat reaches the surrounding skin than with traditional lasers.
In practice that means less risk of the skin darkening after treatment, which is the classic problem when treating pigment in brown skin.
What it is used for
- Sun spots on the face, chest and hands.
- Melasma, at gentle settings and as part of a wider plan.
- Tattoo removal, including colors other devices do not lift well.
- Texture and pore size, with the corresponding handpiece.
What a session is like
- The area is cleaned and your eyes are shielded.
- It feels like rubber bands snapping against the skin; it is brief.
- Afterwards there is redness that settles within hours.
- You can go about your day, with strict sun protection.
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions for a tattoo?
It depends on the color, how old it is, how much ink there is and where it sits. Several sessions spaced weeks apart is normal, and at the assessment you are given an estimate, not a promise.
Can it leave a mark?
The risk exists and it is higher on brown skin, which is why the phototype is determined first and the settings adjusted. Following the aftercare matters as much as the session itself.
Does it work for melasma?
It can help within a plan, at gentle settings. On its own and without sun control, it does not resolve melasma.
Can I sunbathe afterwards?
No. Treated skin darkens easily: strict protection for the following weeks.
