How to verify a Mexican physician
Mexico publishes every professional license in a public federal registry (Registro Nacional de Profesionistas). Every physician on this site has their number listed, and you can look each one up before you come.
Two different things are worth knowing apart:
- Cédula profesional — the medical degree.
- Cédula de especialidad — the specialty training completed after medical school.
On this site nobody is presented as a specialist who isn't one.
Who does what
Dermatology, trichology and skin oncology — Dr. Tania Fernández Cavazos, specialty license 5771448, and the clinic's responsible physician. She handles skin, hair and nail consultations, early diagnosis of skin lesions, and laser treatments.
Endocrinology, metabolism and internal medicine — Dr. Rolando Zamarripa Escobedo, professional license 3383697, specialty license 5419158. Diabetes, obesity, thyroid and metabolic disorders.
Three additional physicians support consultations and treatment follow-up.
Why an endocrinologist sits inside a skin clinic
Because a great deal of what shows on skin starts somewhere else. Dark patches on the neck point to insulin resistance. Diffuse hair loss is often thyroid. Adult acne with extra hair growth and irregular cycles is frequently polycystic ovary syndrome.
Treating the skin and ignoring the cause means it works while the treatment lasts and comes back when it stops.
